Elastic couplings are systems that carry vibrations to the crankshaft. Their vibration damping properties depend solely on the spring characteristics of its material and design. With the elastic coupling located at the engine-transmission connection, at the output of the engine, the vibrations that occur especially in unstable operating situations are prevented from damaging the crankshaft.

Within the project scope; a elastic coupling which was designed to be connected to the crankshaft of a large diesel engine with 3000 Horsepower has been designed by our company. The elastic coupling has been modeled in 3D and its structural analysis has been made according to the torque passing over it. As a result of these analyzes, the strength and life calculations of the elastic coupling have been made, and the design has been improved according to the analysis and production methods.
