The road wheel, which undertakes the task of transporting the vehicle’s load and providing motion transmission in armored track vehicles, is also effective in transporting the vibrations coming from the road.

In project scope; designs were made using two different materials, aluminum and steel road wheel, according to vehicles in different tonnages. The loads on the road wheels were determined, a design was made according to the magnitude and direction of the loads on the road wheels, and the designs were verified by structural analysis.

According to the structural analysis and production methods, the designs were improved and various road wheel designs were realized to be used in different tonnages, and know how  on the armored tracked vehicle road wheels was obtained.
